Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a 2019 action adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment is published by Electronic Arts. It is set five years after Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The story follows Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis as he becomes a target for the Galactic Empire. He is then hunted by the Imperial Inquisitors throughout the galaxy while trying to finish his training, reconcile his troubled history, and rebuild the Jedi order. Kestis can use his light saber to fight enemies such as stormtroopers and bounty hunters. The level design is based on a Metroidvania where Cal’s abilities and skills unlock new areas.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is directed by Stig Amussen who joined Respawn back in 2014. Electronic Arts initially developed the game as an independent title, unrelated to Star Wars. However, they felt that the action would be better suited as a Star Wars video game. They convinced Lucasfilm of this and authorized the project. The visuals of the game were influenced both by Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels and Metroid Prime. The combat and levels of the game were inspired by Dark Souls and The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. The voice cast of the game includes Cameron Monaghan and Debra Wilson. Ben Burtt voiced Cal’s droid companion BD-1. Forest Whitaker reprised the role of Saw Gerrera from Rogue One. The music was composed by Stephen Barton, Gordy haab and recorded at Abbey Road Studios, with the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Bach Choir.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released on November 2019 for PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One, and in June 2021 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It received mostly positive reviews from critics who praised its combat, characters and performance. However, it was criticized for technical problems and lackluster polish. By 2020, it had sold more than 10 million copies. The game was nominated in several categories at the end of the year, including Best Action/Adventure Game for The Game Awards 2019. In April 2023, Star Wars Jedi Survivor was released.

Cal and BD are now trapped in an ancient Zeffo grave looking for messages sent by Cordova…

Strangers – After landing on Dathomir Cal and BD-1 were confronted by a Nightsister, who demanded that they leave the planet as soon as possible. A Fateful meeting While descending in Kashyyyk, the Mantis Crew became embroiled into a skirmish involving imperial forces against freedom fighters. Cal, believing Wookie leader Tarfful was among them, jumped ship, hijacked an ATAT and piloted it straight into the notorious insurgent Saw Gerrera. Saw Gerrera and his fighters had just begun a campaign of liberation against a nearby wroshyr sugar refinery. Cal and BD-1 decide to help him because they think Tarfful might be among the Wookies there.
New Allies Cal had no idea where Tarfful was after he freed the Wookies from prison and took the refinery away from the Empire. Choyyssyk was one of the Wookies Cal liberated and had previously fought with Tarfful. He and Mari Kosan agree to help Cal find Tarfful. Cere, however, discovered a transmission from the Imperials stating that the Empire is close to uncovering another tomb of Zeffo.
Origin of the Second Sister– It was true that the Empire closed in on the Tomb of Minktrull. Cal, however, rushed to Zeffo only to be caught in the trap set by the second sibling. She revealed that she was Trilla, Cere’s former Padawan. Trilla appeared to have the upper hand in a dangerous battle with Cal, but BD-1 intervened and placed an unbreakable field of lasers between Trilla, Cal, and Trilla. Trilla cut off Cal’s comm as he fled into Minktrulls Tomb.
The Tomb of Minktrull In a second plot to kill Cal Trilla had him enter a sarcophagus that was hanging and told her forces to shoot at it. Cal was able to use his lightsaber again and narrowly escape. Cal and BD discovered another encrypted log, which explained that the Zeffo Astrium is the device needed to unlock the Bogano vault. They’ll have to locate one in order to access the vault. Cal was taken by bounty hunters before he could get back to his ship. They are still a mystery.

Cal was not happy with the reunion, as Greez had lied to him about having paid off his debts. Cal was still in shock after learning that Cere had been forced to give up Trilla. Cere and Cal were interrupted in their argument by a transmission sent from Mari Kosan who had found Tarfful deep within Kashyyyk’s shadowlands.
Diverging paths – After a briefing from Greez Cal and BD went to find Mari. Trilla launched an attack on the resistance while Cal was battling with the Brood. Mari and Saw split their forces into two after a rift developed between them. Saw had left the planet. After fighting through the recaptured refining. Cal and BD were joined by Choyyssyk, Tarfful, and Mari. Tarfful instructed Cal to climb up the Origin Tree, and Mari gave him a breather so he could get there. The two groups split up. Cal must now climb the Origin Tree…
Fall Of The Ninth Sister – On their way up the Origin Tree Cal and BD met the Shyyyo bird. Cal and BD rode to the top of the Origin Tree on the Shyyyo Bird after Cal saved himself from a fatal fall using Jedi flip. They found out two things: Cordova had discovered a Zeffo Astrium in the same place years ago, and that a Zeffo Tomb on Dathomir may hold another. As they were about to leave, the Ninth Sister attacked! Cal won the battle by pushing Ninth Sister off the tree. Cal and BD were given a ride by the Shyyyo. Their hopes now rest on finding an Astrium in Dathomir…

The Nightsister Merrin found them again and raised the undead Nightsisters in order to attack the two as they traveled. BD discovered climbing Claws in a cave, just as Gorgara was about to roost. Gorgara took them to an aerial battle that culminated in a crash.
Shadow of the Monster – Cal and BD made their way into the ruins where Cal was faced with a dark version of Jaro. The phantom broke Cal’s Lightsaber and left him defenseless. Cal and BD ran into the Wanderer as they fled the ruins. He revealed that he was Taron Malicos – a former Jedi who is now studying the darkside. Malicos tried to convince Cal to join him in his quest for power but Merrin cut him off. She sent out a horde to kill him and Cal. Cal and BD hurried back to the Mantis. Cere tells Cal that it’s time to build his lightsaber after Cal confesses about Order 66.
Reforged– Cere gave Cal the lightsaber’s hilt even though her Kyber Crystal had been sold many years ago to pay Greez’z. Cal followed his crystal to a crack on the ice wall inside the caves. Cal fell into the icy waters when the ice under him and BD was shattered. BD was able to save Cal in time but the crystal broke in half. This triggered a message from Cordova revealing that BD had sacrificed his memory to store vital logs to Cal’s journey. Cal combined Cere and Jaro’s hilts to create a lightsaber that could be used in single, dual and triple-wielding modes.
The Escape On the way out of caves, Cal found a massive imperial mine on Ilum that was designed to extract Kyber crystals from the planet. Cere, who had learned Trilla’s trick in Minktrull’s tomb, used it to stop the empire from sending reinforcements as Cal and BD fought their way back to the Mantis. The empire reversed the cut, but this gave Cal and BD time to return to the Mantis. Cal, with his lightsaber reforged must now return to Dathomir in order to face the darkside once more.
Laid To Rest– Cal returned to confront the shadow of Jaro Tapal. He realised that the only way he could defeat Jaro Tapal was to embrace and move on from his past. He kneeled before Jaro’s ghost, which caused the apparition disappear. Cal and BD came across Merrin as they moved into the tomb. She was more open this time. Cal discovered that she may be the sole survivor from the Nightsister Massacre carried out by grievous in the clone Wars. Cal and Merrin disowned Malicos for being a fallen Jedi after Cal learned of the Jedi purge.
A new ally – Merrin let Cal pass and warned that Malicos would be ahead. Malicos attempted to turn Cal one final time, but was attacked when he refused. Merrin came in and used magic to blast Malicos. Together, they defeated Malicos. Cal then revealed that he had come to Dathomir in search of an Astrium. Merrin agreed to assist him and together they located an Astrium in Kujet’s Tomb. Merrin, who wanted to learn more about the galaxy and create a better future for her people joined Cal’s search. Recommended Skills:
Unlocking the following two skills first is recommended:
Cal’s life expectancy has increased.
Cal’s Defenses have been improved. This allows him to block incoming attacks with less damage.
Early in the game, these two skills will be crucial to your survival. You can also take Enhanced Surviving Skills and Force Attunement later to enhance Cal’s skills. Next, you should take the following skills:
Cal Dashes ahead and attacks his target. Jump and dash to turn the target over instead.
Empowered Slow : Cal can slow down his target by holding Slow for a longer period of time.
These offensive abilities can be very helpful. Dash Strike and Sprint Strike make combat easier, since they can blast enemy shields. This is particularly useful for dealing with the Nightbrothers of Dathomir. Slow is even more powerful when it’s boosted. Slow is an excellent ability for controlling waves in combat — simply shoot the enemy to quickly defeat them. Start with the Survival Tree. On higher difficulty levels you should focus on improving Stims, as well as everything else in the Survival Tree. Unlocking these skills makes it easier to defeat harder enemies and bosses.

Gameplay of Star Wars Jedi
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order consists of an adventure video game that is played in a 3rd-person perspective. Players can use their light saber to attack enemies or block incoming attacks. The block meter of a character is depleted when they block an attack. This opens them up for attack once the meter reaches zero. If the player blocks before an attack is launched, this will deflect a projectile or parry that attack. This will cause their opponent’s blocking meter to drop more quickly and open them up for attacks. When an enemy attempts to launch a unblockable attack, they will glow red. By using Force abilities, the player can sidestep, avoid, or interrupt an attack.
Force Powers are available to the player. These can be used both in combat and puzzle situations. The player is always accompanied by his droid BD-1. The player is accompanied by a droid named BD-1 throughout the game. It helps them access chests, terminals, and heals them with Stim Canisters.
It adopts a ” Metroidvania ” style of exploration and progress. There are five main explorable planets, Bogano (also known as Zeffo), Kashyyyk (also known as Dathomir), Dathomir, and Ilum. The Stinger Mantis is the hub where players can interact with non-playables and travel between them. Upon request, BD-1 will project a holographic planet map, which includes the location of a player’s objective. As players explore different locations, BD-1 will occasionally request to scan items. This grants them a small number of experience points. The player can find “essence” items which give a permanent increase to their health or force meter, as well as “echoes” that reveal more of the game’s story. There are “essence” objects that permanently increase the player’s health or force meter as well as “echoes”, which reveal more about the story. The BD-1 itself can be upgraded for navigation and combat. Resting will cause all enemies to respawn. Players lose experience points when they die in battle. However, this can be recovered by damaging the enemy that killed them.
The Meditation Arena will be accessible through the Meditation Circles in the Star Wars day 2020 update. The Meditation Arena offers combat challenges that require players to fight waves of enemies in locations from the main story. The player can earn up to three stars for completing a challenge, depending on their health. These stars are used to unlock cosmetic modifications for BD-1. The Meditation Arena features a battle grid where players can choose their opponents and abilities for a customized challenge.
Story
Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan, is hiding on Bracca five years after the conversion of the Republic into the Empire, and the Great Jedi Purge. He works as a scrapper, salvaging ships from Clone Wars. Cal Kestis is caught by an Imperial probe using the Force to rescue his friend Prauf. Two Inquisitors, the Second Sister and Ninth Sister are sent to capture him. Cal escapes after the Second Sister kills his friend Prauf because he spoke out against the Empire. Cal is rescued from the Second Sister by Cere Junda, a former Jedi Knight, and Greez Dritus. They transport him aboard their ship, Stinger Mantis.
Cere sends Cal to Bogano, hoping that he will be able to access an ancient vault. Cal meets BD-1 on the way to the vault. He shows him a letter from Eno Cordova, Cere’s old Jedi master. The message reveals that a Zeffo civilization built the vault and Cordova has hidden a Jedi Holocron with a list Force-sensitive kids inside. Cere is convinced that the list will help rebuild the Jedi Order. However, the only way to get into the vault is following Cordova’s trail. Cal explores the ancient temple on the Zeffo planet, where he finds a clue that points to Cordova’s friend Tarfful . On Kashyyyk, Cal encounters notorious insurgent Saw Gerrera. Cal frees several Wookiees who were enslaved to the Empire.
Cal, unable to find Tarfful in Zeffo, returns there to look for more clues. However, he is ambushed unexpectedly by the Second sister, Trilla Suduri. She reveals herself as Cere’s ex-Padawan. Trilla explains that she was captured by the Empire as a result of Cere’s betrayal and warns Cal about the betrayal he will face from Cere. Cal learns that he must use a Zeffo Astrium artifact to gain access to the vault, but is captured by an Haxion Brood Bounty Hunter, who forces him into the gladiatorial arena of the Haxion boss Sorc Tormo. After a rescue mission led by Cere, Greez and Tarfful, Cal returns back to Kashyyyk where Tarfful tells him to investigate a pinnacle on the Origin Tree. Cal discovers another recording from Cordova revealing that an Astrium is located within a Zeffo’s tomb on Dathomir. However, his explorations are interrupted by the Ninth sister, who he defeats.
Cal has a flashback of his former master Jaro Tapal sacrificing himself to protect him during a href=”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_66_(Star_Wars)” title=”Order 66 (Star Wars)”>Order 66/a>, and the kyber crystal of Cal’s lightsaber is destroyed. Cal is reminded of the time when Jaro Tapal sacrificed himself to protect Cal during order 66. The kyber stone in Cal’s lightsaber has also been destroyed. Former Jedi Taron Malicos crashes on Dathomir and surrenders to the dark force, taking over the leadership of the planet. Cal refuses to join the dark side and runs away after Merrin attacks him and Malicos. Malicos wants to learn Nightsisters magic, and Cal tries to convince Cal to do the same.
Cere, aboard the Stinger Mantis admits that she lost her connection with the Force when she learned Trilla was an Inquisitor. Cal, who had traveled to Ilum in order to rebuild his light-saber, returns to Dathomir to retrieve the Astrium. He also overcomes his guilt for Jaro’s murder. Cal defeats Malicos, with Merrin’s unexpected help. Merrin agrees to join Stinger Mantis. Cal is back on Bogano when he unlocks the vault. He has a vision in which he rebuilds a Jedi Order. However, they are eventually defeated and tortured to death by the Empire. Trilla steals the Holocron after he escapes the vision. Cere assumes her Jedi role and knights before they infiltrate Fortress Inquisitorius, located on Mustafar oceanic moon Nur, to retrieve the Holocron.
Cal defeats Trilla after battling through an entire company Stormtroopers. Cere reconciles Trilla but before he can be fully redeemed Darth Vader arrives and kills Trilla. Merrin saves Cal and Cere from drowning after they escape Vader’s grasp. The crew is celebrating their success aboard the StingerMantis until they realize the children on the Holocron are in greater danger if they decide to become Jedi. Cal destroys the Holocron using his lightsaber, and then asks where his crew should go next.
