Need for Speed Underground 2 PC Download (Highly Compressed)

Speed Need Underground 2 was released in 2004 as the eighth installment in the Need for Speed series. The game is a sequel of Need for Speed: Underground and features free roaming, the first speed title. The game takes place in Bayview, an imaginary town.

Underground 2 makes use of many Pace Need: Underground configuration options. Players can modify nearly all their vehicles such as the lights, bumpers and side mirrors. Speed Speed Star rating is also used. Visual tuning is not the only way to customize performance. Players can change the vehicle output.

Need For Speed Underground 2 STORY

The story begins after Underground. The player and Melissa have defeated Eddie’s street race gang the Eastsiders. The player is hailed as the best street racing driver in Olympic City after winning a race driving a blue Nissan Skyline GT-R. He then receives a phone call from an unknown individual who “invites” him to join his team. This is followed by an explicit threat that he will not accept “no”. The player is furious and hangs up immediately. He then drives to the party to celebrate. While talking on the phone with Samantha, a H2 rams into their Skyline and damages it. A man with a tattoo of a scythe on his hand confirms that he has “taken care of a matter”.

The player arrives in Bayview and is contacted by Rachel, who has left them her Nissan 350Z at the airport car lot. She asks to meet up with the player at a dealership. The player can ignore this instruction and race three events, winning, before Rachel demands her car. The player buys a new car at the dealership using money from their insurance company for the Nissan Skyline that was totaled. He then begins racing again.

Rachel is the main contact in Bayview. She gives tips to the player on driving, secret stores, important events, and hidden events. After winning races, the player gains fame and sponsorships. This attracts Caleb Reece’s racing team The Wraiths. Rachel tells the player that Caleb has been trying to control the Bayview racing scene by manipulating sponsorship agreements in his favor. This is a threat to both the player’s life and Rachel’s relationship with sponsors.

Caleb tries to make the player lose a Underground Racing League by placing Nikki Morris in the same event as the player. Nikki Morris leaves the Wraiths when Caleb reprimands her for losing. She then joins Rachel’s and the player side. Nikki warns the players of the dangers of Caleb taking over the street racing scene in the city. Caleb was the driver of the Hummer which wrecked the players’ car in Olympic City.

Caleb, desperate to stop this player who has accumulated too much hype and reputation, pits the remaining Wraiths in a URL Tournament against him, but it fails. Caleb, having lost another sponsor to the player, challenges him to a showdown. The player beats Caleb now insolvent and celebrates along with Rachel and Nikki. They have solidified their status as Bayview’s best Underground racer.

Need For Speed Underground 2 Gameplay

Underground 2, features an Open World where players are able to drive around the city and explore it, unlocking new areas through winning races. The racing modes are similar to Underground. One mode has been dropped: the Knockout competitions. When racing Circuit, a Lap Knockout mode is available.

  • Circuit Race is an ordinary race in which up to four vehicles race around a circuit that loops itself back to its starting line. Circuit races can range from 2 to 5 laps.
  • Sprint Race is an point-to-point event involving up to four vehicles.
  • The drifting is one of the technical features of Underground 2. The player can drift with up to three other competitors on the parkade track. The player receives points for successfully sliding the car, and completing each drift without hitting walls or traffic. Nitrous Oxide will not be allowed. The player can also participate in downhill drifting events, where they drift the car as they progress down the course. There are no other racers in the downhill drifts. Instead, normal city traffic is used. The players can increase their score by sliding past cars.
  • Drag racing , another technical aspect in the game, is a straight line race which forces the player to use a manual transmission. In this mode, the steering is simplified, allowing only lane changes. The game will handle the steering on the lanes. In this mode, the HUD is displayed larger and on both sides of the screen. This emphasizes the importance of monitoring the engine temperature and tachometer . Players’ positions are forfeited when they collide with traffic or barriers or overheat the engine by redlining for too long.

Underground 2,, also includes four new race variations.

  • Street Race is similar to circuit racing, but takes place on closed and tight tracks. This event is limited to a maximum of four racers. This mode disables nitrous oxide, just like the drift mode.
  • Underground Racing League consists of a series of tournaments which take place on a particular set of closed track located outside of city streets. These tracks can be either real racing circuits, or airport runways. URL tournaments usually consist of up to three races with six cars. A points system is used in tournaments that have two or more races. Drivers receive points at the end of every race based on their position in the race. The winner of the competition is determined by the total score after these races.
  • Special Events are sprint-like events that require the player to complete a certain number of times in order to reach an objective on the map. This will reward you with a magazine.
  • Outruns: While in free roam the player can challenge certain opponent cars in “outruns” (the opponent’s car will have brighter tail lights similar to when the player uses nitrous) where the goal is for the player to begin an outrun, and then to distance their car away from the opponent’s vehicle by 300 metres (1,001 feet). A player who is in the lead can decide when to start an outrun. They can also choose any route and/or tactics to reach their goal. There is a limit to the number of outruns that a player can achieve in each stage. This includes stage 1. In the intro stage, where the player drives Rachel’s vehicle, three outruns are possible. The outrun opponents cars will no longer appear after you have won the maximum number of outruns for the stage. There is no limit on the number of wins in outruns after completing a Career. After winning a certain number of outruns on a stage, the player may be rewarded with an exclusive part. Some stages reward the player for completing multiple outrun sequences. Outrun mode is similar in concept to Tokyo Xtreme Racer, Langan Midnight games that use health bars to determine the winner.

The race is divided into five “stages”. The race locations will change once a stage has been completed. The “World Map” includes a list of all previous stages that shows which races have been completed. There will always be eight sponsor races left unfinished after completing stages 2-5 (these require completion of a certain number of “DVD events”). This is because a player can only choose one sponsor per stage, and they are limited to running 3 of the 11 unique sponsor race options. These races can only be completed using the World Map. A game bug has caused a glitch (at least in the PC version) that prevents the awarding of credit for a race not completed if the player does not restart the race at least one time after it starts.

Underground 2 has a unique feature in the Need for Speed games in that it forces the player to drive to an exact location in the city in order to start a race. Other games let the player choose a race by selecting from a menu. The majority of races are visible on the radar in the game, but some are hidden, and players must hunt for them if they want to race. These features will help players to make the right choice.

SMS / Cell Phone System– The players may receive text messages or phone calls during gameplay. The menu system allows you to review a list with all the messages and information about the game.

Cash icons and Info icons Each stage in the game, including the intro, has a collection of hovering icons that are scattered around the world. While the player is exploring the map, they will receive a cash bonus and/or information as they drive through the icons.
